As a Communication and Digital Lead, you will be responsible to lead gradual mindset shift from traditional ways of interacting to digital and establish and lead the ComDigital group as well as being responsible for impactful communication to targeted customer groups and active involvement with Business Sustainability Team. 

How you will make a difference 

Impactful communication to targeted customer groups: develop cost-effective external communication to support Sales Areas on business delivery while strengthening our brand
• Develop communication plan aligned to business targets for each Sales Area and National Accounts in Morocco in conjunction with Campaign Leads and share knowledge / experience with Strategic Key Accounts in Algeria and Tunisia
• Ensure the delivery of highly targeted, personalized messages to address our target group needs based on a clear grower segmentation with personas as defined with Market Intelligence Lead to ultimately drive sales in a more efficient cost-to-serve manner
• Select local agencies and media partners where necessary
• Support execution in coordination with Campaign Leads
• Track progress and proactively set corrective measures where necessary
• Ensure best ROI within communication budget while balancing tactical with long-term

Lead gradual mindset shift from traditional ways of interacting to digital, especially in campaigns, events and in building Grower Program Offers
• Develop external communication strategy supporting BA Maghreb 5-Year Plan delivery and overall Syngenta Group direction in Digital Marketing
• Ensure data is captured from the digital marketing tactics with relevant KPIs which are analyzed and turned into actionable insights
• Ensure GPO are built with grower needs in mind while ensuring value capture for Syngenta (e.g. increasing share of wallet, capture new business, defend existing business)
• Understand, assess and analyse the role of traditional vs. digital communication in our industry to support the gradual mindset shift across BA Maghreb
• Accelerate transition from “classical support” on technical / crop offers implementation to “innovative technologies” for highest return and use of resources
• Liaise with support functions from Syngenta group (e.g. Global Marketing, Business Sustainability, CPD, etc.)
• Interact, support, coordinate with other functions within BA Maghreb to leverage and optimize resources
• Influence, train and coach BA Maghreb Team to understand the increasing importance of Digital in our industry and activity of each person
• Support BA Maghreb LT in providing sporadic internal communication as appropriate

Active involvement with Business Sustainability Team and coordinate Public Relationship (PR) with BA Maghreb activities
• Active member of the BA Maghreb cross-functional Team (e.g. Marketing, CPD, Regulatory) to develop sustainability plans aligned with the Good Growth Plan™ and contact person to Business Sustainability Team at AME level 
• Establish and manage contact with media / press within Maghreb: activities always coordinated with Business Sustainability Team at AME level
• Event management: lead or coordinate external events within the Maghreb as appropriate

Establish and lead the ComDigital group to ensure delivery of marketing plans
• Coach and train the Digital Service Specialist in charge of “digital marketing” and Digital Agronomy Specialist in charge of “digital agronomy”
• Ensure alignment of priorities and activities to contribute in delivering the marketing plans (e.g. campaign, Growth Initiatives, ad-hoc projects)
• Bring a good balance of novel approach from the Digital era while providing industry specific solutions that address growers needs

Essential for this position

• Understanding of communication techniques in traditional ways and digital (e.g. advertisement & promotion, event management, agency relationships, etc.)
• Ability to work across boundaries within Marketing Organization with Campaign Leads, Market Intelligence Manager and Portfolio Leads but also outside with Crop Protection Development (CPD) Team and Sales Team
• Upskill the digital awareness and buy-in across the organization and to Key Partners
• To look for new solutions in marketing, agriculture and continually develop knowledge and skills
• Generating new insights to influence strategic thinking
